Os crentes

 

E se tem coisa que eu tenho birra é cantoria de crente. Não posso nem ver!

Quando estou na cidade e um bando deles me cerca com a estória de salvação da alma, saio no sarrafo:

- Sou comunista!

Eles me olham espantados e eu ainda acrescento, olhando pra mocinha que eles carregam junto:

- Tesãozinha!

Ficam uma arara, mas como crente não pode xingar, têm que engolir.

Mas tô na minha. Nunca fui encher o saco de ninguém pra acreditar nas minhas ideias. Nunca fui dizer pra ninguém aprender a beber, a fumar e a farrear. Cada um que faça o que gosta e não encha o saco do próximo que já está salvando a sua alma.

E vai que hoje de manhã entro no ônibus e uma penca de crentes se levanta e começa a esgoelar aquelas músicas que o senhor é meu pastor e nada me faltará.

Meu! Fique uma arara porque na minha vida andou faltando tudo.

Arrumei a garganta e fui cantando com um vozeirão de puxador de samba do Império Serrano:

Sou maconheiro,
sou macumbeiro,
ando duro o ano inteiro e
tem dois anos que não sei o que é dinheiro!

No breque do samba, ainda cutuquei a costela de uma deles de bibliazinha embaixo do braço:

- Faz a segunda voz, aí!

Ouvindo o silêncio

Comumente pensamos no silêncio como negativo, a mera ausência de som. Silêncios - é melhor pensar no plural -  podem ser longos ou curtos. Diferem em qualidade, bem como em quantidade. Podem ser naturais ou culturais, por exemplo, normais ou patológicos. Podem ser voluntários ou forçados, espontâneos ou estratégicos, quentes ou frios - como os ingleses às vezes dizem, "um silêncio de pedra". A ausência de fala pode igualmente expressar reserva ou humildade. Um silêncio desdenhoso ou insolente precisa ser distinguido de um silêncio ameaçador. As pessoas ficam sem fala por espanto, constrangimento ou até fúria. Em suma, o silêncio não é um fenômeno puramente negativo. O silêncio do professor experimentado é diferente também dos exemplos que acabei de citar.
